Anytime in history that there’s been an increase in transparency and knowledge sharing among human beings has led to an increased level of democracy and freedom. I think what makes us all pretty uncomfortable right now is that we are witnessing a very rapid increase in transparency.
And if we use it properly, then we have a pretty historical opportunity to change the way recruiting is done. I look at it as, you know, “The Arab Spring of Recruiting.” What happens when you put full transparency on a population that doesn’t have it? And so my prediction for 10 years – or hopefully sooner than that – is that we will have used that transparency and this social connection to bring recruiting back to its root as a social activity.
Filmed during “Social Data Recruiting” at SmartRecruiters HQ as a part of our Smartup Series. How do you think increased transparency will affect the future of recruiting?
